Many years ago I worked for the Vickers Group. The Group produced a colour magazine that was distributed internally to all the companies within the group.
One month I read an article about a sister company “Crabtree-Vickers” who produced high quality printing machines.
They had just launched a new model called the “Crabtree-Vickers Falcon” and to demonstrate its high quality at exhibitions they commissioned this painting of a Peregrine Falcon in Dusseldorf in 1972.
Only a few prints were run off in demonstration print runs at sales seminars for customers in 1976.
I contacted the Marketing Service Manager and managed to obtain this print. Sadly I never found out the artist who produced the original and the print does not have a signature. |
